Getting Started

What is CNGate CDN?

+

CNGate is a Content Delivery Network (CDN) service that helps accelerate your website by caching content on servers distributed globally. This reduces latency and improves loading times for your visitors.

How do I get started?

+

Simply register an account, bind your credit card for automatic billing, and add your website domain. We'll provide you with DNS records to update, and your site will be accelerated through our global network.

Is there a free trial?

+

We do not offer a free trial. CNGate operates on a pay-as-you-go model where you only pay for the bandwidth you actually use. You can start with a minimum recharge and scale based on your needs.

Billing & Payments

How does billing work?

+

CNGate uses a pay-as-you-go model. We charge based on bandwidth usage. When your balance falls below the threshold (default: NT$100), we automatically charge your bound credit card (default: NT$300) to keep your service running. Usage fees for all your hosts are calculated and deducted daily at 00:00.

What payment methods do you accept?

+

We currently accept credit cards through our secure payment provider PAYUNi. All card information is encrypted and stored securely.

Can I change my auto-recharge settings?

+

Yes, you can customize both the minimum balance threshold and the recharge amount in your account settings. However, the minimum recharge amount is NT$100.

How can I view my transaction history?

+

Visit the Transactions page from your dashboard to see all your payment and usage history, including automatic recharges and bandwidth consumption.

How do I add my website to CNGate?

+

After logging in, go to "Add Host" in your dashboard. Enter your domain name and origin server IP address. We'll provide you with our CDN IP address. Simply update your A/AAAA records at your DNS provider to point to our provided IP address.

How long does DNS propagation take?

+

DNS changes typically propagate within 24-48 hours, but can sometimes be visible within a few hours. You can check the status in your dashboard.

What DNS records do I need to update?

+

You need to update your A record (for IPv4) or AAAA record (for IPv6) to point to the CDN IP address we provide. This should be done at your current DNS provider where your domain is managed.

Do you support HTTPS/SSL?

+

Yes, we provide free SSL certificates for all websites using our CDN. HTTPS is automatically enabled once your domain is verified.

How secure is my credit card information?

Can I remove my bound credit card?

+

You can unbind your credit card from your account settings, but please ensure you have sufficient balance to avoid service interruption.

How do I reset my password?

+

Click on "Forgot Password" on the login page, and we'll send you a password reset link to your registered email address.
